Japan Strategic Capital has provided support for business creation exploiting intellectual property and new technologies created by universities and research institutions.
In 2012, we were appointed as a business promoter of START program (program to support R&D and commercialization integrally to create start-ups) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. During the 10-year period of the program, we supported 17 promising technologies (food, sensors and semiconductors, biotechnology and drug discovery, materials, etc.) and established nine ventures out of them.
